Love this post. My kids are about to be 12, 9 and 4 and 4 (surprise at the end, there!) and all were nursed for what seemed like forever but now is just a blink. (11 years of lactation, but I count each twin's 3 years separately.) Totally agree with you, especially about #6. I think I had only seen one baby nursed (as in, one occasion in a restaurant from across the room) before I nursed mine. What a gift it would have been to have visited a LLL meeting beforehand! Although all the other things you mentioned were cool as well!

Mel - the pocket dots sound great. I've only used my belly band once, on the one day I needed to wear a suit for school (odd that it was school rather than work, but thankfully work is pretty casual). But that day, I hated my belly band because it was such a pain to keep in the right place with my dressy trousers. Ah well.

Amen to the rest of the list!

I love my body pillow - especially now that my belly is HUGE, I don't know how I'd sleep without it.

Another thing that I've really enjoyed over the past month or so is the Hypnobabies self study course. The joyful pregnancy affirmations are wonderful and have really enhanced my (pre-existing) pleasure I'm taking in my changing bod. I expect the self hypnosis I'm learning will help me relax during birth as well.
