Blog it Forward

Don’t you love it when you find a new blog or read a new blog post that totally inspires you? Those are the ones you just can’t help but leave a long comment on. Sometimes you might even stumble it or tweet it it’s just so good. I found Moms Great Escape Blog the other day and found some inspiration in a bit of her own. She has created something called Blog It Forward. This is what she says about it:

Why not create a place dedicated to all those who inspire others, as well as a place where those needing a bit of inspiration can go to find it?

Indeed! I love being inspired by the words or actions of others. It inspires me to work harder to inspire people. I created Breastfeeding Moms Unite with a desire to inform and inspire other new and already breastfeeding moms to think more about breastfeeding, act more on breastfeeding issues, and breastfeedlonger, on demand, in public, for nourishment, for comfort, etc, etc.

Blogging is one of the ways I am trying to make a mark in the world about an issue I am passionate about. The positive feedback I receive makes me feel like I really might be making a difference and that empowers me to keep going. When we inform or inspire someone, we give a gift that keeps on giving, as they then take that knowledge and that excitement to someone else and around it goes.

  • Do you write to inspire others with your story?
  • Does it make your heart smile to know you have affected someone’s life in a positive way?
  • Do you want more traffic to your blog from others seeking inspiration?
  • Do you want to make a positive difference in this world?

To participate in Blog It Forward visit Moms Great Escape Blog and follow the instructions. I joined because it feels good to belong to a group of moms who are motivated by kindness to blog for the same reasons. For a cause. For a feeling. To inspire.

Maybe I’m too idealistic. Maybe I can’t change the world. But when I surround myself with like-minded bloggers who blog at PhDinParenting, Unnecesarean, Stork Stories, Blacktating, Cave Mother, and Simple Mom (as well as some other great blogs) and I am inspired by their words and read comments left by their readers who are also inspired, I feel like together we are doing something pretty amazing!

Whether you sign up or not, I encourage you to “Blog it forward.” Link someone in your post today, write to inspire, and imagine the difference you are making right now.

One person can make a difference! Each person signed up will inspire all their readers who, in turn, will inspire their own. The domino effect will make these inspirational accounts spread like wildfire! As a result, the selfless acts of kindness and inspiration, and the greater good principle will outshine the bad, therefore making this world a better place in which to reside.
