Bravado Designs is launching an information arm called the Bravado Breastfeeding Information Council (BBIC) www.breastfeedinginformation.org on November 10th, which will serve as a resource to the media, including non-traditional outlets (like blogs), that both authoritatively communicate to and influence women, to provide accurate and non-judgmental information, statistics and trends on a regular basis in order to educate the public at large as well as to support a positive breastfeeding experience for women in North America.
Talk about a mouthful! As part of this launch Bravado will be releasing findings from their database of over 80,000 women. However, they are looking to get one more survey out before then and try and to hear from as many women as possible, across as many different backgrounds as possible to give every mother a voice.
To promote their survey Bravado is offering participants a chance to win one of five $100 Gift Cards!
I took the survey and it takes about 15 minutes. The survey asks you about breastfeeding in public, your partner’s level of support, family and friend’s support, going back to work, and how you decided to breastfeed or not. Non-breastfeeding mothers are also encouraged to take this survey. I like surveys and polls because I like contributing my voice to a worthy cause and of course to try to skew the results in my favour. It’s like voting, and if you don’t vote, your voice won’t be heard.
