Have you ever used Reglan or Domperidone to increase your milk supply? If the answer is yes, The United States Lactation Consultant Association needs your assistance with an important survey of Domperidone and Reglan in breastfeeding mothers.
Dr. Thomas Hale and Kathllen Kendall-Tackett have constructed an on-line survey to study the side effects of these drugs from as many mothers as they can worldwide. The more moms who participate, the more valid their findings will be.
My thoughts: I wonder if perhaps this might lead to the legalization of Domperidone in the USA. ???
The survey is confidential and has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, Texas. For more information contact Kathleen Kendall-Tackett.
The survey will take 20-30 minutes. To take the survey go here.

Legalize it? But I know people who’ve taken it… I think I’m confused.

As far as I have been told, Domperidone has not been FDA approved so women in the US who want to use it have to find a way to get it from outside the US.

Coming late to this, but took both with my first baby and just the Dom with my twins (ordered online, from outside the US). Worked well for me, though not the “magic bullet”. I absolutely think it should be legalized, though, & was lucky enough to have a great MD who was willing to advise me on it (though not actively prescribe it due to the legal ramifications). Will go check out the survey sometime soon!
