I loved my orange Moby Wrap. In fact, even though it is no longer in use I still want to keep it. Maybe one day I’ll make a quilt out of my ring sling and Moby Wrap for both of my girls. I’m sentimental that way.
Are you keeping your baby carriers? Why or why not?

I don’t have any baby carriers. I didn’t use them and by the time I regretted not having them to use, it felt like there wasn’t too much longer to go before I wouldn’t need one anyway. I’ve told pretty much every pregnant woman I’ve met since then they should really look into one.

Awe… I wish I had more pics of me wearing my two. I have two carriers but don’t know what I will do with them. I still might have use for them… but my daughter is almost one so the chances are slim.

I have a baby sling which I am still keeping as I intend to use it for #3 when she arrives in sept.

I have a panel Kozy that I bought years ago for a ridiculous amount of money that I am saving for them. My favorite carrier for my 16 month old is my Beco and I use that every time I go anywhere with her but somedays I want to be fancy and pull out the Kozy. They bw their dolls now so I hope they will when they grow up too. A quilt sounds nice

Oooh I have a number of thease!
I made my husband a ‘Star Wars’ themed Mei-Tai and I love it (him too). We will likely keep it for when our kids have kids.
I have a few that I made for myself like a patchwork velvet one I made for my first LLL confrence…. OOOH I can’t wait for cold weather so I can wear it now with my third baby!

That is so cool that you made a special one for your hubby. The velvet patchwork one sounds very cool too. I would have loved something like that. I really like how beautiful mei tais are.

Even though I wasn’t planning on having another baby (whoops), I still kept my Ergo carrier. I loved carrying B. So much, that I carried her whenever I could – even after she could walk. I used it on holiday when we had to traverse the airport. Used the stroller to carry the carry on bags and I used the ergo to carry B (age 1.5).
With the current baby, I carry her whenever we go out. She doesn’t care for a stroller too much. When she was an infant, I used a Sleepy Wrap, which was great, but a lot of work to take on and off. I was glad when she became big enough for the Ergo.
Maybe when she is too big for it, I will use it to carry the cat. Ha!

What great carriers. I’m sure it makes nursing easier too. I had a snuggy thing when mine were tiny. Thanks for linkin up for WW!

I wish Peanut let me sit down while I was wearing her. Once she could touch the seat with her feet she would bounce like crazy!
I received an organic Sleepy Wrap to review for my blog and already had one. I keep saying I’m going to give away the old one, but I keep delaying it. Maybe I’m just waiting for a new mom who really wants one. Maybe I’m being sentimental about the fact that Peanut spent the majority of her first six months of life in it.

I was never a baby wearer. I couldn’t figure them out. I know, lame, but you make it look so easy! I was always thinking I was going to drop them or smother them!
Thanks for dropping by.

I am definitely keeping my carrier! This is baby #1 after all and you never know how many more will join her. I wish I could wear the Moby wrap it, you all look so cozy, but I get overheated and my little one is an oven so we stick with the Ergo…I wish I could put a personal fan in it somewhere…
I think a quilt sounds like an excellent idea.. although.. there may be a friend that comes along who would enjoy the use of it!
I will probably lend mine out once I am finished with them (just because they were so valuable to me)!

I have a BabyBjorn and a Moby wrap both that I won online! I never got the hang of the Moby though-it felt so unsafe! Maybe next baby! Anyway, I am definitely keeping both ’cause I’m hoping for lots more babies over the years. I’m also hoping I can win an Ergo or something so I can keep babywearing since he’s about outgrown the BabyBjorn and the Moby doesn’t seem to be working for us either!

I’m sad you are having trouble with the Moby. You need to have his bum over the cross of material in front of you. Then his legs will dangle on both sides and he won’t fall out. I will find you a good pic to show you how it should look. They really are comfy and safe. Did you get a video with it? WHile I thought it was a bit of overkill, mine did come with a video. I don’t think I have it anymore but if I come across it anytime soon I will let you know and send it to you.
I used a Graco Snuggly with my 3 older kids and GAVE it to Goodwill when I saw all the other awesome and more comfortable options out there. After over a year of trying to get preggo we did and I acquired through review opportunities a Sleepywrap, Beco and beautiful ring sling from SnuggyBaby.com…..
It saddens me to think of these great carriers not being used again once my precious baby grows out of them… glad he’s only 3 months and we still have plenty of time to use them!!
I think though I would pass them to other moms who would LOVE using them once we’re done having babies!!!

I am keeping my Maya Wrap. I briefly contemplated giving it to my sister when my nephew was born, but I couldn’t do it. I bought that sling when my daughter was 4 days old and still in the NICU. It saw me through thick and thin. I may give away all my other carriers, but I’m keeping that one for sure.

You are working that Moby wrap!
My friend who’s an MD sent me a black Moby wrap when I was pregnant, so I really took notice and used it when my little guy was small.
I got an ERGO when he was 4 months or so and I still use it all the time now that he’s 16 mo- it’s so easy to let my active boy in and out of it as the situation requires.
I got a mei tai for back carry, but I am still pretty terrible at it, and he does not seem to like it- I need to make more time to practice!

I have that same attachment to some of my carriers. I hadn’t thought yet of what I’ll do with them once we’re done with babywearing, but a quilt sounds like a lovely idea. I’m glad you have such beautiful pictures of you babywearing with the Moby to pass on to your girls.

Well, I still use mine so I am not getting rid of them as of yet. I still use my moby on occasion because my daughter and I still love it. It was always our favorite. Once she is too big for it and I am 100% sure there will be no more babies I will probably still keep the moby. It was our first and our favorite. I cannot imagine parting with it. One day I want to carry my grandchildren in it.

I think of doing that too…. IF I don’t make a quilt by then and the way I am with sewing it’s highly likely!
nice! i have a sling way back. i gave it to my SIL when she gave birth. it seems like i developed a bad back after giving birth. also, it seems that the hot weather in manila is preventing me from baby wearing no matter how much i wanted to. although i know a lot of moms here who did.

Yes, I cannot part with my most loved & used carriers, that is for sure. Perhaps someday, when I am VERY sure we are done with babies, I will gift them to a friend, but I do love the quilt idea! Though I am not sure I have enough fabric to share between my three girls, ha ha, so maybe I would just keep the quilt for me!
I have an Ergo, the same Moby wrap as you, and a Maya Wrap. I plan on using all 3 for number two who will be arriving shortly. After #2 Ill probably save them all for my sisters in case they decide to have kids.

I love your babywearing photos! They’re wonderful. I have only a handful of babywearing photos and really regret it. These days, my 16-month old prefers to walk on her own and explore the world around her. I’m okay with that (sort of), but I do miss wearing her everywhere.
Thanks so much for stopping by the other day. I’m still playing catch up, but I made it here nonetheless. Thanks again. Have a great day.
